Madeleine was called to the Bar in October 2022 and maintains a broad civil practice, with a particular interest in commercial litigation and employment.

Prior to her call, Madeleine was the Associate to the Honourable JE Reeves of the Federal Court of Australia, and Industrial Commissioner ML Knight of the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.

Since coming to the Bar, Madeleine has appeared at all non-appellate levels of the State courts, and various tribunals including the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission. Madeleine has also appeared in various matters in the Federal Court, Federal Circuit and Family Court (both divisions) and the Fair Work Commission.

Madeleine is a sessional academic at both QUT and USQ. She is presently coordinating and lecturing in the Insolvency and Restructuring unit at USQ.

Madeleine firmly believes in her obligations to undertake pro bono work and regularly accepts briefs from community legal centres.

Madeleine holds a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from QUT and a Bachelor of Arts from UQ. She is presently completing ARITA’s Advanced Certification in Insolvency through UTS
